More than 2200 fastener enterprises in Yongnian resume production

Famous as "China Fastener City", Yongnian has another 6 fastener enterprises resume production recently. Until now, more than 2000 enterprises which once stopped production or reduced production due to the financial crisis has resumed production, providing about 150,000 job opportunities for local migrant workers.

It is known that Yongnian is the biggest fastener production and distribution center in China, with more than 2300 all kinds of processing enterprises and 15000 distribution stores inside and outside county. Its production and sales reaches 2.45 million tons per year which takes up 40% of market share, and it has over 200,000 employees. Fastener industry has already been the major workplace for local migrant workers. Financial crisis brings great impact on Yongnian fastener industry for a period. According to the statistics, 90% of Yongnian fastener enterprises' performance has decreased in terms of output and sales in different degrees since October last year. Meanwhile, almost 50% of Yongnian enterprises were in the state of totally shutdown or half shutdown which also affected the large quantities of migrant workers.

For this reason, Yongnian county adopted diversified measures and released a series of preferential policy which built up a connection platform to help the local enterprises enlarge the distribution. Before and after the Spring Festival, the county also sent messages to the distributions all over the country through SMS, email, letter, etc. These measures guided them to develop markets actively, such as grasping the opportunity of the 4 trillion government investments on speeding up the construction of infrastructural facilities such as highway, railway, etc.

At the same time, Yongnian fastener enterprises began to unite and cooperate to develop market under the organization of the industry association. They bought the material together which reduced the material price sharply. The enterprises strengthened the internal management which improved the material utilization ratio from the former 87% to 96% now.

Until now, 98% of the enterprises which once stopped production or reduced production due to the financial crisis has resumed production and absorbed about 150,000 local migrant workers.
