"Recently, we offer the new products of DIN 6797 internal & external teeth washers, square taper washers, DIN436 /DIN434 square washers." Ms. Zhang, Sales Manager of Hongyu Metal Company, says happily, "These new products are the results of our breakthrough in technology. Like internal and external teeth washers, these products have strict technical requirement. Now we can not only produce them, but also achieve mass production. Also, the sizes of our stamping samples are much more accurate, which enables us to earn some European customers."

Established in 1994, Hongyu Metal is specialized in producing plain washers, stampings, machine components, and bearing holders. The factory covers an area of 15000 square meters. Hongyu has more than 100 employees, five of whom are very experienced technicians. Hongyu produces nearly 300 tons of products every month and around 200 tons are for export. Their products are exported to America, Italy, South Africa, Japan, Korea, France, Spain, etc.

Recently, influenced by EU's antidumping against China fasteners, the export value of Hongyu falls slightly, but they have some orders from Europe. Ms. Zhang says, "We have finished a Polish order, with the quantity of one container." She says, the antidumping cases in fastener industry these years happen frequently. Hongyu pays close attention to this kind of news. They had supposed to apply several plans, such as reduce export, adjust price, or negotiate with customers on who bears the tax, etc. However, they finally find out these plans are only temporary solutions.

As they have launched the new products, to make them export successfully, they do not hesitate to apply imported materials, though it will increase their costs. Hongyu is now fighting against antidumping by improving their brand "Hongyu". "Of course, our price will increase a little bit," Ms. Zhang says, "Hongyu is still the producer of best price and excellent quality for European customers." She hopes China fastener industry people can unite to overcome this troublesome period.
