Defense group set off to Brussels to fight against fastener antidumping case
A group of people from China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and China Fastener Association set off to Brussels on September 18 to fight against the fastener antidumping case which has involved 3,012 Chinese fastener companies.
It is reported that regarding the actual and relevant interests between Europe and China, it is the second time for EC to hold such type of hearing while the last one was held 18 years ago. As the European party has refused the MET (Market Economy Treatment) applied for by 114 Chinese companies, it is hopeless for them get the lowest duties. Thus, the industrial non-damage defense has become the final remedy.
"The result of the hearing will determine whether the Chinese party is able to reverse the verdict and keep the European market," Gao Xiangjun, Legal Department Officer of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products strongly indicated, "our group will spare no effort to argue this case."
