The 6th China Fastener Industry Seminar -- Technical Specifications of Fastener Standards in Europe and US

Following the first five seminars, the Sixth China Fastener Industry Seminar opens. It is organized by National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration of China, co-organized by Shanghai Fasteners and Welding Consumables Research Institute, Shenyang Standard Component Research Institute, and undertaken by China Fastener Info. Furthermore, it is supported by related associations and chamber of commerce. The Sixth Seminar consists of three courses: the Technical Specifications of Fastener Standards in Europe and US, the Cause of High-strength Fasteners Defects and Prevention Measures, Riveting and Rivet. On Dec 19th, the first course "Technical Specifications of Fastener Standards in Europe an US" was successfully held in Hangzhou.

The lecturer of this two-day course is Mr. Ren Chibing. Mr. Ren is the commissary of National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration (for three terms), vice director of Zhejiang Standard Part Standardization technical committee and the former director of Zhejiang Fastener Testing Station. He went to Paris, Sweden, Switzerland to attend the ISO international fastener standardization meeting with the National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration in 2005, 2007, and 2008. He took part in writing the chapter 'Technical Specifications of Fastener Standards in Europe and US' in 'Fastener Standard Directory' which was compiled by National Technical Committee 85 on Fasteners Standardization Administration. Also, he wrote the book 'Fastener Standard technical requirements in Europe and US'. Moreover, he published many thesis in 'Fastener World' and other nationwide magazines. He is also the committee member of China Fastener Info.

The course lectured by Mr. Ren including export fastener quality concept, fastener standard system in Europe and US (EN, ISO, DIN, ASTM, SAE quality requirements on fastener standard), fastener thread and test in Europe and US, fastener mechanical property and material in Europe and US (ASTM, SAE-2007 edition, 2008 edition). Furthermore, Mr. Ren explained many popular topics such as quality and technical requirements of export standard parts, correlation and requirements of fastener standard in Europe and US, requirements of fastener thread quality test in Europe and US, latest quality of fastener mechanical property in Europe and US, requires on technical condition and rest program, operating and technical items of DIN 934, correlation of fastener test on standard parts in Europe and US, etc.

Correspond to the five aims of China Fastener Info seminars "solve practical problems, accomplish industry elite, improve product quality, develop high-end products, enhance core competiveness", Mr. Ren not only discussed the theories and explained with real cases but also had an interaction with the students in the class.

Mr, Chen from Autong Industrial Hardware (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. said that this training has much practical value and it really brought great help in his job. Especially this training dealt with many real cases and Mr. Ren explained them lively which made the bald technical problems become easy to understand and impressed deeply. Besides this, it was found out that Jiaxing Fengjie Trading Co., Ltd. paid special attention to this training and sent 5 excellent staff to attend this course.

The second part of the Sixth Fastener Training Center and Seminar will be lectured by Mr. Yan Zhenzhong tomorrow on Dec 26th, 2008 --- 'The Cause of High-strength Fasteners Defects and Measures on Prevention'.
