| On February 23, 2009, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) concluded its re-investigation of the normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy of certain carbon steel and stainless steel screws originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China (China), and the normal values, export prices of certain carbon steel and stainless steel fasteners originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei. The subject goods are usually classified under the following Harmonized System classification numbers: 73181100.00, 73181200.00, 73181400.00, 73181590.11, 73181590.12, 73181590.21, 73181590.29, 73181590.31, 73181590.32, 73181590.39 and 73181590.44.
Requests for Information (RFI) were sent to exporters in China and the government of China to obtain information on various subsidy programs by the CBSA. Only four exporters from China together with the government of China provided sufficient information. Therefore, amounts of subsidy were determined separately for these four exporters that cooperated with the CBSA.

On April 28, 2004, the CBSA initiated its antidumping and countervailing investigation on certain carbon steel and stainless steel fasteners originating in or exported from the People's Republic of China (China). The re-investigation was initiated on September 15, 2008 on the subject goods by the CBSA.
