National Manufacturing Week (NMW) 2009 opened in Melbourne, Australia on May 12, 2009. The beautiful autumn just comes in Melbourne. The architecture of Melbourne Exhibition Convention Center is pretty unique (as the picture below). There are 226 exhibitors in NMW. In addition, Austech also takes place in the meanwhile, with 131 exhibitors. Altogether, there are 357 exhibitors in this two exhibitions.

Fastener exhibitors are not so many, including just four from China, one from India and one from local. However, on Day 1, among all the visitors, there were quite a few importers, distributors and end users of fasteners. Some visitors came from New Zealand and Philippines.
