South Africa announced antidumping case against Chinese iron and steel bolts and nuts would expire soon
On June 26, 2009, International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) announced some of the antidumping cases would expire soon, including Chinese iron and steel bolts and nuts (see the sheet below). According to the related regulations of South Africa, if the sunset reviews have not been initiated during the stipulated period, the antidumping cases will be terminated automatically.

Let’s look back to the antidumping case against Chinese bolts and nuts launched by South Africa:
On June 6, 2005, ITAC of South Africa announced the extension of antidumping duties on iron and steel hex bolts and nuts originated from China. Meanwhile, the duties on the iron and steel bolts from Taiwan were also extended.
In July 1998, South Africa initiated an antidumping investigation against the product concerned, and announced a determination of 29% to 36% tariff in 1999. In July 2004, South Africa launched an antidumping sunset review.
