FASTENER FAIR BUDAPEST 2010 SET FOR GROWTH

"'Our second Budapest show is set to see impressive growth following the success of our 'trail-blazing' event in 2008,' says organiser."

Great things are forecast for the second Fastener Fair Budapest exhibition, which will run on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th September 2010 at the SYMA Event Centre in the heart of one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Following the success of the first-ever Fastener Fair Budapest in 2008, which attracted 171 exhibiting companies from 26 countries and just under 1500 fastener and fixing industry professionals, organiser Jerry Ramsdale is confidently predicting significant growth for the next show in Hungary's capital city.

"One of the main objectives of that first show in 2008 was to provide the international fastener and fixing community with a platform from which to investigate how best to do business in central and eastern Europe," says Ramsdale. "For 2010, we'll be applying what we all collectively learned in 2008 to make 2010 an even better show. We’re all now armed with a greater understanding of that market and what the region's industry expects."

Ramsdale says this greater understanding will also be used to attract even more buyers to the fair. "Last time, almost 1000 of our visitors were decision-makers with purchasing authority. And our market research for 2010 shows that many more international visitors are keen to attend – not only those from central and eastern Europe, but many others from further afield, too."

The Fastener Fair organiser has an outstanding track record of running successful business and technology focused trade shows for the fastener and fixings sector. With Fastener Fair Stuttgart, for example, he worked closely with suppliers and buyers to grow the show from a modest event in 2005 to last year's huge success, which saw 625 exhibitors and almost 6000 fastener professionals and buyers taking part.

"In Budapest, we have a very solid foundation on which to build," says Ramsdale. "In 2008 we successfully met the market's demand for a focused exhibition that put fastener and fixing companies in direct contact with distributors, manufacturers and key buyers in the fast-developing markets of central eastern Europe. This time we're building on that to further internationalise the show, whilst still creating a central hub for doing business in central and eastern Europe. In addition, whilst sticking with the popular and centrally located SYMA Event Centre, the heart of the next show will take place in the venue’s purpose-built exhibition hall."

Ramsdale feels the timing of the event is also perfect: "Taking place on 6th and 7th September 2010, Fastener Fair Budapest will be the next global event dedicated to the fastener and fixing sector, and probably its most important one in 2010," he says. "It will be even bigger, even more international and – because Fastener Fairs are not just about hard work – even more fun, too!"
